Our club built a set of stairs for Calvin as part of our Rotary Community Service.
Our club secretary John Whisler, organized the project after hearing about Calvin's need for stairs to his motorhome. On hand to assist John were Past President Valerie Beaudoin, Doug MacLean, John Kimball, Ron Rogos, Ernie Carnevale, and Peter Vaka. Calvin lives on the grounds of Loudoun RV and Boat Storage.
It was late afternoon when members of our Rotary Club met to build a set of stairs for Calvin. Our club secretary John Whisler, organized the project after hearing about Calvin's need for stairs to his motorhome as part of our Rotary Community Service. On hand to assist John were Past President Valerie Beaudoin, Doug MacLean, John Kimball, Ron Rogos, Ernie Carnevale, and Peter Vaka. Calvin lives on the grounds of Loudoun RV and Boat Storage. "I worked this land as a farm hand when this was a 300 acre farm," Calvin said. He now trims the grass on the 31 acre storage park. Thanks to John Whisler's advance planning and preparation, the stair were completed in just over 4 hours.
