Dean and Tammy, with help from Pam Banks, Chuck Maloney and Bob Noe, put together a great St. Patrick’s Day celebration!  They provided colorful decorations, surprisingly good food (hey, how often do most of us eat corned beef and cabbage) and drink, great Step Dancing music and dancers and some fine toasts and humor.  With Jim Gable and John Marsh in their outfits for the evening and quite a few partners and friends, a good time was had by all.

Fred, Melissa and Mike passed around photos of their “meeting with Bill Gates” earlier in the day (along with approximately 125 other Rotarians) near the Capitol Reflecting Pool to promote Polio Plus. See story on this home page.

Another set of Snow Birds returned – Wiley and Teck, welcome back.

Two reminders:

1.       If you plan to attend “An International Affair” supporting the Boulder Crest Retreat for Wounded Warriors, please let Ron know by Monday, March 18.

2.       The District Conference in Arlington is scheduled for April 25 thru 28 - a number of Club Members are going – please consider attending yourself.

Larry Schiro will be having a hip replaced at Reston Hospital next Tuesday – we wish him well.

And, who knew that Pope Francis I was a member of The Rotary Club of Buenos Aires?  Thank you, Omar.

Enjoy the week ahead!

Yours in Rotary Service

Mike
