Sabrina Chira Awarded Rotary Scholarship

Sabrina Chira was awarded a two year scholarship by the Rotary Club of Leesburg Foundation. She is near the top of her senior class with a 4.4 GPA and a long list of achievements. She came to Monroe Tech in Leesburg from Freedom High School to attend their Computer Systems Technology (CST) program.  Club President Chuck Reavis presented the award at her school ceremony, and invited her to attend a club meeting.  She was recognized at a recent Rotary dinner that she attended with her mother and Jeremy Staples, from the Monroe Tech CST program.

 

She will be going to Christopher Newport University, where she plans to be involved in several service projects. Her future career/academic plans are to study cyber security and earn a Ph. D in Computer Science, Information Technology Management, U.S. National Security Studies, and International Security Studies.
