The Rotary Club of Leesburg was honored to have Marc Leepson speak on May 24, 2012. Marc talked about the history of the US flag and referenced his book Flag: An American Biography.  Rotarians, Heritage Interact Club officers and club guests were entertained and informed by his presentation. Who knew it is unlikely that the Betsy Ross flag story is true? 

Marc is a well-known author of seven books including Lafayette, Saving Monticello, and Desperate Engagement, and the editor of the Websters’ New World Dictionary of the Vietnam War.  Marc is an experienced and captivating speaker who has addressed hundreds of audiences on the subjects of his books and on his other specialty, the Vietnam War and Vietnam veterans.  He has been interviewed many times on radio and television, including on The Today Show, CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, All Things Considered, Talk of the Nation, To The Point, Morning Edition, The Diane Rehm Show, Irish Radio, and CBC (Canada).
